A Taiwan research link could soon give Cebu Technological University engineering faculty a longer runway for work on water, energy, and artificial intelligence, as National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) moves to connect them with active research teams.
The talks followed the recent visit of Dr. Yu-Wei Chang, who delivered a lecture on the functional properties of seaweed at the university.
Engineering professors presented their current studies and research interests to Chang and sought possible matches with NTOU researchers.
Chang welcomed the proposals and said he would help connect the faculty with his colleagues who could support active joint work. He also encouraged more students to pursue study opportunities in Taiwan.
For faculty members, Chang suggested a longer staying Taiwan to gain direct exposure to the university’s research environment and develop working ties with their counterparts./IAI
