O.P. Jindal Global University (OPJGU) exchange student Namesha Lamar arrived today—an “epical” moment, as Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) Director Rhodora Magan would describe it, in that Cebu Technological University (CTU) welcomed its first inbound exchange student since being granted university status in 2009.
Lamar’s nomination came only after a rigorous screening process conducted a couple of months ago at OPJGU, India’s top private university.
The 21-year old psychology student spoke of the many applicants who listed CTU as the top choice; however, only she made the cut. She revealed how her home institution strongly promoted CTU—a move that drew admiration from the IAI director.
Dean Raamah Rosales’ College of Arts and Sciences becomes the first unit across CTU campuses to host an exchange student.
Administrative personnel were quick to onboard Namesha, who looks forward to making the most of her stay before returning to India in December.
Her presence has reinforced the CTU-OPJGU partnership sealed in 2022.
