Israel’s Western Galilee College (WGC) delegates have arrived for the International Summer School Program 2026—a landmark venture with CTU that brings comparatives on sociology, economics, criminology, education, and entrepreneurship into conversation with the lifeways of Southeast Asia.
Themed “Communities, Justice, and Society: Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Criminology, Education and Sociology,” the 13–20 August stint will feature a lecture series by WGC’s Dr. Hagit Turgeman and CTU academics.
It also seeks to entrench the alliance with collaborative researches with Dr. Hagit and the four master’s students. Interested academics from across the CTU campuses are expected to join the networking session on the 18th.
Today’s activity had Danao IAI chair Dr. Edralin General looping in Danao City’s tourism unit for the delegation’s acclimatization to the host campus’ biodiversity landscape and environmental stewardship.
The visit reciprocates CTU academics’ visit to Israel in 2023, building on Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) Director Dr. Rhodora Magan’s encounter with WGC’s top management at a conference in Spain in September of 2022./IAI
