National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) academics Dr. Yu-Wei Chang and Dr. Yu-Jia Chiu shared insights on the functional properties, applications, and potential of seaweed in food and related industries before a packed hall of students at CTU Main on Tuesday, August 18.
The Institute of Food Science Innovation and Technopreneurship organized the event to advance prospects for the CTU–NTOU agreement.
Sans the pact, CTU academic Dr. Honey Lyn Gomez will still begin the first semester of her Ph.D. studies at NTOU this September. Her doctoral pathway creates a direct academic link between the two institutions.
Both academics will meet with the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) leadership on Thursday to identify areas that would inform the potential alliance.
With the forthcoming partnership, IAI expects more opportunities for both institutions in academic mobility and innovation./IAI
