Senior tourism and hospitality executive Dr. Hüseyin Aslan met with the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI) leadership to present multiple outbound mobility prospects, made possible by his vast corporate network in Türkiye and Europe.
Dr. Aslan’s extensive experience in the international tourism and hospitality industry, as well as his work in gastronomy, cultural heritage, and social responsibility, were among the areas that peaked in today’s discussion.
Cebu Technological University Argao instructor Vivillou Batulan, through IAI chair Dr. Rosalyn Alburo, introduced the intent of the Mesopotamia Gastronomy Platform president weeks earlier, and today’s discussion proved that more could be done with his “illustrious” trajectory, IAI Director Dr. Rhodora Magan said.
His social responsibility portfolio also includes the distribution of nearly 300,000 books, the establishment of approximately 200 libraries, educational initiatives for disadvantaged students, blood-donation campaigns with the Turkish Red Crescent, environmental projects, tree-planting activities, and programs supporting young people and students with special needs.
A forthcoming event is expected to provide an initial platform for Aslan to showcase Turkish cultural perspectives while introducing possibilities for deeper institutional ties, particularly in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
IAI projects a partnership that would internationalize tourism education through actual industry networks, with Aslan serving as a corridor to mobility, industry exposure, and potential university partnerships in Türkiye and Europe./IAI
