To expand access to Nursing Education for deserving students, Cebu Technological University (CTU) and the Cebu City Government, through the Cebu City Medical Center–College of Nursing (CCMC‑CN), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Thursday, September 10, at the Mayor’s Office.
Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. and CTU OIC‑President Dr. Jonita V. Literatus led the signing, which establishes a consortium designed to help aspiring nurses, especially those unable to afford private nursing colleges, pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Mayor Archival was joined by CCMC‑CN Dean Audrey Laude Garganera and Cebu City Councilor Franklyn Ong, Chairperson of the Committee on Education.
Meanwhile, CTU officials included Dr. Ramel C. Genobiagon, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Campus Director Dr. Gregorio P. Pajaron Jr., and Legal Assistant II Nikki Lou S. Bagolor. They were joined by Mr. Glenn Meneses Gamalier, Assistant Dean for Academics; Ms. Divine Maligaya Cortes, Assistant Dean for Administration; Ms. Alma Recardo Cosedo, Librarian; and Ms. Imelda Mier Dano, Health Promotion Officer.
This partnership underscores a united effort to strengthen the healthcare workforce by expanding opportunities in nursing education and equipping more students to serve Cebu and the nation’s growing demand for professional nurses.
