Global forum with 17 nations clinched at CTU

The 2nd Qualitative Research Connect (QLRC) International Conference drew delegates from 17 nations, all joining the final sessions leading up to the closing ceremony yesterday, September 9.

The final take featured presentations from the Philippines, with interactions from Prof. Virginia Braun, QLRC senior adviser Dr. Safary Wa-Mbaleka, and Dr. Wanda Chesney.

Dr. Chesney’s plenary talk particularly focused on the place of artificial intelligence in the qualitative research agenda, emphasizing the need to safeguard the reflective processes that are central to qualitative inquiry.

Some plenary speakers, including Prof. Victoria Clarke, joined online to contribute to the narrative.

Green-lighted a year ago, the event introduced CTU for the first time to hosting an international research conference that brought together participants from diverse nations.

More than the variety itself, there emerged a platform for dialogues on issues that resonate across myriad contexts.

QLRC has campaigned for a Malaysia gathering in September next year.
