Sidhi Performing Arts marks August with cultural performances

Cebu Technological University (CTU)–Main Campus marked August 2026 with a series of cultural performances led by Sidhi Performing Arts, bringing Filipino music, dance, and artistic traditions to campus and professional events throughout the month.

The month opened on August 11, with the Indayog Cultural Dance Troupe performing at the Conference of IT Professionals and presenting Filipino dance traditions to industry leaders.

On August 17, Sidhi’s full ensemble—composed of the CTU Main Chorister, Dance Premier, Drum and Bugle Corps (DBC), and Indayog troupe—joined Panagtagbo: Week of Welcome 2026, helping welcome students and members of the university community.

Two days later, on August 19, the DBC continued the celebration with a performance during the third day of the welcome week.

Meanwhile, Sidhi participated in the International Quality Assurance Implementation Workshop on August 26, where the Indayog troupe, Chorister, and DBC performed before educators and quality assurance experts.

The month concluded with Tanghal ng Kultura 2026 on August 29 at the Gymnatorium, where all Sidhi ensembles performed, showcasing Filipino heritage through song, dance, and music.

Across these five engagements, Sidhi Performing Arts brought CTU’s cultural advocacy to various university and professional gatherings, highlighting the role of the arts in preserving Filipino heritage and contributing to the university’s cultural identity and community life.
