GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT | CTU, Hasanuddin University of Indonesia sign MOU following HEPCON 2026

Cebu Technological University (CTU) and Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) of Indonesia have formalized a new academic partnership following the Higher Education Partnerships Conference (HEPCON) 2026, which brought together higher education leaders from across ASEAN and beyond.

On October 2, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the CTU Main Campus during a dinner hosted by the university, following HEPCON 2026, held at a hotel in Cebu City on Oct. 1–2.

Co-hosted by CTU, the conference provided a platform for academic leaders to exchange ideas, build institutional connections, and explore opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

CTU OIC President Dr. Jonita V. Literatus and UNHAS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa formally signed the agreement.

IAI Director Dr. Rhodora G. Magan led the MOU signing, with her leadership in building global corridors of collaboration positioning CTU as a proactive institution forging vital international ties.

Under the agreement, the two universities will explore faculty exchanges, undergraduate and graduate articulation programs, short-term academic offerings such as summer and winter programs, postgraduate studies, and other collaborative initiatives.

The signing marks another international collaboration to emerge from HEPCON 2026, further expanding CTU’s academic network and reinforcing its role as a key contributor to global collaboration and innovation.
