“Practical Jiu-Jitsu: Street-Ready Skills for Real-Life Self-Defense
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Argao District Jail successfully held its first Jiu-Jitsu Workshop at the Cebu Technological University (CTU)โArgao Campus, marking a significant step toward community empowerment through self-defense education. With the themeย “Practical Jiu-Jitsu: Street-Ready Skills for Real-Life Self-Defense,”ย the workshop offered participants hands-on training in practical techniques designed to handle real-world threats with confidence and control.
Led by the skilled and passionate JO1 Eid Mubarak Alih Daham, the event emphasized the relevance of martial arts in fostering personal security, especially among women. This initiative was held in celebration of National Womenโs Month, aligning with ongoing efforts to promote gender empowerment and resilience through physical preparedness.
