Argao HRMO personnel successfully participated in the 2025 Leadership Congress of Human Resource Management (HRM) Practitioners which concluded a great success on April 29โ30, 2025, at the prestigious Marco Polo Hotel in Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City. Anchored on the themeย โEmpowerment and Excellence of Future-Ready Public Servants on Financial Literacy,โย the two-day event brought together HR professionals from across the region for a dynamic exchange of insights on financial wellness, public service excellence, and strategic human resource management.
Representing our campus are the HRM team actively participated in the congress. The delegation was headed by Ms. Levi U. Pangan, Admin Officer IV (HRMO II), alongside Ms. Paulane Jane S. Segismar, RSP In-Charge, and Ms. Karla Leigh R. Matugas, Learning and Development (L&D) In-Charge. They were also joined by Ms. Charissa Jane S. Sambola, Admin Officer V from CTU-Argao.
Day 1 in the congress opened with a keynote on โFinancial Literacy in a Nutshellโ by Dr. Gregorio E. Baccay III of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, followed by a session on investment scam prevention by SEC Director Sheera Lupangco-Tamayo. A Coffee Table Discussion with GSIS, SSS, HDMF, and LBP representatives provided updates on employee benefits and financial opportunities. In the afternoon, Atty. Gina A. Crucio inspired participants with โComplete Staff Work: The Secret of High Flyers,โ emphasizing proactive and excellent public service. The day concluded with the CVCHRMPs Turnover Ceremony and a festive Barrio Fiesta-themed Fellowship Night.
Day two focused on continuous learning and workplace well-being. Dr. Marc Clint A. Maceda emphasized psychological safety in the workplace, while Ms. Venesa Z. Lastimoso of PhilHealth Region VII and Atty. Ariel B. Bacatan of CSC RO VII provided key updates on health services and HR legal matters. A session on โGoing for the Silver: PRIME-HRM Level 3 Indicatorsโ guided agencies in advancing HR maturity.
