Cebu Technological University–Argao Campus represented by the 5 YDW volunteers from the Bachelor of Science in Psychology proudly joined the Culminating Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region VII Tara Basa Program held in September 19, 2025 @ CebuTech gymnatorium- CTU Main campus.


A highlight of the event was the institution’s recognition as an Exemplary Partner, with CTU-Argao receiving a Plaque of Recognition from DSWD 7 for its unwavering support, volunteerism, and collaboration in ensuring the success of Tara Basa. This award underscores the university’s strong commitment to community extension and nation-building through active student engagement.


Five of the BS Psychology students namely: Marithel Kate P. Cabungcag, Adora S. Parantar, Marifel A. Pantinople, Airalyn Alcain and J Mica Cabaral – the Youth Development Workers (YDW) student volunteers attended and participated the celebration. Adding pride to the celebration is Argao YDW – Ms J Mica Cabral who was also hailed as the winner of the Video-Making Contest additionally is the heartwarming testimonial of Ms. Marithel Kate Cabungcag. Both showcasing their creativity, advocacy, and meaningful contribution to the program.

The culminating program not only celebrated milestones but also emphasized the importance of partnerships between academic institutions, government agencies, and communities in nurturing the next generation of leaders.
