The Cebu Technological University–Argao Campus proudly staged CTU Nite 2025 last September 19, 2025, 7:30 PM at the Sec. Cerge M. Remonde Sports and Cultural Center, with the theme “Emojis: A CTU Musical in Feelings.”
The evening opened with heartfelt preliminaries led by the Hanyag sa Gugma Ministry Chorale, who rendered the Invocation, National Anthem, Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, ASEAN Hymn, and CTU Hymn. Warm words of welcome were delivered by Campus Director Dr. Eingilbert C. Benolirao represented by the Campus Director of Oslob Ext, Dr. Jean F. Puerto, followed by an inspiring fiesta message from Hon. Allan M. Sesaldo, Municipal Mayor of Argao represented by Hon. Vice-Mayor, Orvi G. Ortega.
The program unfolded into a spectacular musical journey through emotions, showcasing the talents of students, faculty, and alumni across the different colleges and extension campuses of CTU. Each scene portrayed a distinct feeling—from Blessed, Happy, Scared, Heartbroken, Thoughtful, Overwhelmed, Excited, to Grateful—through well-loved songs from Disney, Broadway, and animated classics.
Highlights included:
“Touch the Sky” from Brave, “Hakuna Matata” from The Lion King, “I Put a Spell on You” from Hocus Pocus, “Remember Me”from Coco, “Reflection”from Mulan, “Surface Pressure”from Encanto, “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin, and the powerful “Let It Go” from Frozen.
The night also featured an Emoji Mascot Competition, awarding the most creative representations of expressive icons that symbolize the event’s theme.
As the grand finale, the entire cast came together for an uplifting performance of “Hope” and a curtain call with “The Circle of Life,” leaving the audience inspired and celebrating the power of music and emotions.
