CTU-Argao Faculty Tapped for National Teacher Education Research Initiative

ARGAO, CEBU — In a significant stride toward enhancing the quality of teacher education in the country, Cebu Technological University – Argao Campus (CTU-Argao) is set to collaborate with the Teacher Education Council (TEC) for the second year of the Research Initiatives in Teacher Education (RITE) Project.

An official communication from the TEC regarding the potential involvement of Prof. Ariel L. Ramos, a distinguished faculty member and Graduate Studies Dean at CTU-Argao. Prof. Ramos is being considered for T11 – PROFILE-PH, a pivotal initiative focused on the “Profiling of Teacher Education: Scoping and Scanning of Teacher Education in the Country”.

This partnership, with the University of Santo Tomas (UST) serving as the research lead and managing partner, aims to build an evidence-based foundation for reforming teacher education programs nationwide. The T11 project specifically seeks to establish a comprehensive understanding of teacher educator proficiency across the Philippines to inform targeted professional development and policy-making.

The inclusion of CTU-Argao in this national effort underscores the institution’s growing reputation for academic excellence and its commitment to shaping the future of the Philippine education system.
