ARGAO, CEBU — Cebu Technological University (CTU) Argao opens a world of academic and professional possibilities for its students as Partners from Okayama University with the Consulate-General of Japan conduct an academic engagement on “Study in Japan”- MEXT Scholarship Program.
The recent insightful academic engagement was done thru a short talk about its “Study in Japan” Scholarship program held on February 11, 2026, opening a world of academic and professional possibilities for its students in collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in Cebu and the Network Project to Promote Study in Japan (ASEAN Regional Office), the event aimed to provide first-hand information on prestigious international scholarship programs.
A key focus of the academic engagement was the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program, that offers fully-funded opportunities for Filipino students in various categories, including Undergraduate, Research, and Specialized Training.
Representatives from the Consulate together with the representative from OKAYAMA UNIVERSITY shared essential details on the application process, required documentation, and the life-changing benefits of pursuing higher education in Japan attended by students and other CTU campus representatives from Barili, Moalboal and Dumanjug. This initiative aligns with CTU’s commitment to internationalization and ASEAN integration, providing students with the tools to become globally competitive.
By bridging the gap between local talent and global opportunities, the engagement encouraged students to dream big and explore the “endless possibilities” awaiting them in Japan.
