An early Christmas gift was delivered to Cebu Technological University Bantayan Extension last December 15, 2022, as the Local Government Unit of Bantayan turned over the new Researchers’ Dormitory to the CTU community during its 7th Founding Anniversary Celebration.
The turnover ceremony was attended by Mayor Arthur E. Despi, SB Members Janet M. Hubahib and Markham Mansueto, DOST officials, University Directors, industry partners and other local officials.
The dormitory will accommodate the researchers who visit the island for scholarly works and serve as a laboratory for the BS Hospitality Management Department. Hon. Markham Mansueto, who delivered the message on behalf of Mayor Despi, mentioned that the dorm is a gift of the LGU to the CTU Bantayan and that he appealed to the students to take care of it.
The ceremony was held during the 7th Founding Anniversary of the Campus with students’ bazaar set-up, community extension programs and games, which filled the two-day celebration to the brim.
