Last September 2-3, 2023, Angat Cebu BPO held a seminar entitled “๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค & ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ” attended by student officers from different organizations in Cebu Technological University โ Bantayan.
The speakers discussed topics and put them into practice through team-building activitiesโechoing the needed skills, values, and attitudes needed to survive and adapt to the dynamics of the corporate world as a fresh graduate. Aside from the job-related and self-improvement topics, the seminar also grazed important topics like HIV/AIDS 101 and understanding SOGIE.
Among the participants of the said seminar were the following CebuTech organizations: Supreme Student Government, Future Science and Technology Leaders of the Philippines, The Island Horizon, CTU Banaag Pens and Paints, Industrial Engineering Council, and departmental organizations consisting of Hospitality Management and Education students.
The Municipal Mayor of Bantayan, Mayor Arthur E. Despi, also attended the seminar and delivered a speech about the significance of leadership and knowing how to be a good leader. Moreover, his wife, Mrs. Frankie Despi, who organized the seminar together with Prof. Girlie Fariola, the Campus Administrator of CTU Bantayan, mentioned the importance of volunteerism as an avenue for self-improvement and service to others.
The knowledge shared during the gathering is essential in not just helping pre-employment individuals like the CTU student-leaders participants in getting a glimpse of how the real world operates after their academic journey and teaching them how they can quickly blend in and stand out amidst the competitiveness; but also in fostering volunteerism and selfless service to the community.
