Pre-Service Teachers Gear Up for Practice Teaching Internship in Bantayan, Cebu

In anticipation of the forthcoming deployment of pre-service teachers to various high schools in Bantayan, Cebu, a Practice Teaching Internship Orientation took place on February 6, 2024, at the CTU Bantayan Extension Covered Court. This event drew the participation of not only the pre-service teachers but also their parents and members of the Faculty of the College of Education.

The orientation delved into crucial topics essential for the upcoming teaching stint. Prof. Felixberto T. Lucabon Jr., the Dean of Instruction at CTU Daanbantayan Campus, expounded on the Joint CHED-DepED Memorandum of Agreement, providing invaluable insights into the collaborative framework between the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Education. Meanwhile, Prof. Braulio M. Diongson, the Chairman for Practice Teaching, thoroughly discussed the Teaching Internship Requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding among the attendees.

The day culminated in an open forum, fostering an atmosphere ripe for exchanging ideas and perspectives among parents, faculty, and students alike. This collaborative dialogue not only enriched the understanding of the forthcoming journey but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose.

Sixty-seven (67) pre-service teachers from the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED-HE) program gear up for their forthcoming deployment to secondary schools in Bantayan, Santa Fe, and Madridejos.
