Lesette Rall, CTU Barili fifth-year Veterinary Medicine student, hailed as the new National Director of the National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS) during the 19th NCVMS Congress held on February 9-11, 2023, at the Sarangani Highlands Garden and Restaurant, General Santos City, South Cotabato.
Rall’s win marks her as the very first national director from the Visayas region, making her the 20th national director of the congress.
As the newly elected national director, Rall takes on the challenge of leading all the representative member schools of the congress. In an interview, she revealed some of her plans for the organization.
‘Part of my plans is to strengthen the name of NCVMS and let it be known to all veterinary schools because I have observed that not all students are well-informed about it,’ Rall said.
Consequently, the Visayas region will also host the congress in 2024. Rall also expressed that the experience was a challenge yet fulfilling at the same time.
‘As of now, I have gained confidence. I have a fear of microphones; I cannot hold them properly. However, I have gained confidence that I can do it. I am now more comfortable with myself,’ she added.
Lesette Rall is an active student leader at CTU Barili. She is now in her third term serving as the campus’s President of the Supreme Student Government (SSG).
