The Cebu Technological University (CTU) Barili Health Services Department led by the Campus Nurse, Charity C. Donozo, extended its services through a Mobile Blood Donation activity in partnership with the Rural Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Barili, and Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center—Blood Services Unit (VSMMC—BSU) on March 8, 2024, at CTU Barili covered court.
Several employees and students from the Barili campus joined the activity. Overall, 38 donors generously contributed to the cause and donated their blood.
The donors were excused from their work/classes to give them time to recuperate and were also given free food.
It can be recalled that a successful mobile blood donation activity was held on December 7, 2023, at CTU Barili where 48 successful donors generously contributed to the vital cause.
Such initiatives play a crucial role in supporting the local community’s health and well-being. CTU Barili’s willingness to actively participate in the said event speaks volumes in its commitment to making a positive impact on the community and making sure that blood is available when it is needed. / ICPA BARILI
