The employees at Cebu Technological University Barili campus engaged in a two-day enhancement activity conducted on December 11-12, 2024, at Bellissimo Beach Resort, Minolos, Barili, Cebu.
The employees, including the Job order personnel, part-time faculty, and organic faculty and staff, engaged in a seminar entitled ‘Workplace Interpersonal Skills Enhancement for Organizational Strengthening’ led by the resource speaker, Dr. Leah Solmerin Corpuz.
Dr. Corpuz, the founder and lead trainer at LASC Learning Solutions, conducted an interactive lecture on interpersonal skills in an organizational setting. She delved into the components of interpersonal skills and shared the values of interpersonal skills with the participants. She also shared valuable insights into creating a culture of happiness in the academic environment. Dr. Corpuz emphasized how comparison is a thief of joy.
Dr. Corpuz shared her expertise with the employees and shared some of her resources, such as where the CTU-Barili library received copies of her published books. The library received two copies of each of the three books donated.

The second day of the enhancement activity featured another series of lectures attended by the organic faculty and staff only. The lectures included a seminar on public-private partnership delivered by the Carcar City College President, Dr. Jean S. Dabasol. Dr. Dabasol highlighted why partnerships are essential and the legal basis for public-private partnerships.
The other lectures delved into Bids and Awards procedures. Mr. George A. Albarracin enlightened the participants on the procurement process. A discussion on standard processing flow and documentary requirements by Ms. Je-Ann R. Tenebroso and the re-alignment of PPMPs by Ms. Mariel S. Tangarorang followed this.
Ms. Aida F. Libradilla also taught the participants about Government compensation and tax computation. The morning session ended with a lecture by the HRMO designate, Mr. Jessie Christian C. Jumuad, who shared the importance of the Learning and Development Needs Assessment (LDNA).
A simultaneous re-echo of seminars, training, and conferences attended by all faculty and staff was conducted during the afternoon to cap off the enhancement activities.
