CAFBC conducts strategic planning 2026

The College of Agriculture, Food Science, Agribusiness, and Development Communication (CAFBC) successfully conducted its strategic planning on February 27, 2026, at the Multimedia Room in the CAFBC Building.

Faculty members from the college’s programs attended the activity. The activity that focused on the Vision, Mission, and Goal (VMG) Setting and Research priority centered on the following objectives:

  • Strengthen the college VMG to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment
  • Develop and align the VMG of each program with the college and university framework
  • Identify priority research areas for 2026 (aligned with institutional strengths, regional development needs, and national directions)
  • Define and position research focus areas per programs/specifications.

During the morning session, the faculty members worked together to help formulate a new college VMG to update the existing one and align with the university framework. A vision and mission for each program under the college – Agriculture, Food Technology, Agribusiness, and Development Communication were also developed.

The afternoon session was devoted to formulating a research program proposal to involve all faculty members in research initiatives in their areas of specialization.

The VMG Setting and Research Priority is the first series of the college’s four-part strategic planning for 2026. This initiative reflects CAFBC’s commitment to foster quality education.
