The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadets and officers from Cebu Technological University-Carmen Campus join the 50th Sinulog sa Carmen 2023, as the crowd control, on January 22, 2023.
Out of 463 cadets, there are 63 cadets voluntarily joined the event along with the 37 officers of the ROTC, headed by Corps Commander M/Capt. Jastine Cyrel Alburo 1CL PN. There are also Junior Staff Instructors(JSI), the seniors who already graduated but filed for Active Duty Training(ADT) who attended.
According to Corps Commander M/Capt. Alburo, “We did some preparations and also made some contingency plans.”
As the crowd control, ROTC officers and cadets hold one the most significant responsibilities in the event as they are tasked to take control and ensure the safety of the guests, performers, attendees and devotees to avoid stampedes, riots and accidents.
