CTU Carmen, in collaboration with the LGU Carmen Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Rural Health Unit (RHU), successfully participated in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Earthquake Drill last March 13, 2025. The drill aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response among students, faculty, and staff by simulating real-life earthquake scenarios.
Participants followed the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” protocol and executed a swift evacuation to designated safe zones. Emergency responders demonstrated proper extricating procedures, while medical personnel conducted assessment, triaging, first aid treatment, and transportation of injured victims to ensure timely medical intervention. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of CTU Carmen and its partner agencies to fostering a culture of safety, readiness, and resilience in the face of disasters.
