Dr. Anthony S. Ilano obtained his BSc and MSc in Marine Biology from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City. His MSc in Biology & Aquaculture and PhD in Marine Environment & Resources were obtained from Hokkaido University, Japan.
He is currently the Campus Director of Cebu Technological University – Carmen Campus, and a faculty researcher of the Department of Fisheries. He has been in the Teaching and Research Profession for 26 years handling Professional and Major Courses in Marine Sciences, and 5 years in Fisheries. He has also worked in Aquaculture Industry for 5 years as Hatchery Manager and Grow-out Chief Technician in Shrimp Farms in Cebu and Negros Oriental. As a researcher, he has published several articles in International, National and Local Journals. He has also projects funded by Government Agencies, Private Institutions and Non-Government Organizations on the aspects of Environment, Fisheries and Sustainable Development.
