CEBU CITY โ Faculty and staff of Cebu Technological University โ Cebu City Mountain Satellite Campus (CTU-CCMSC) took part in a Basic Life Support – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) training conducted by the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
The initiative, led by CTU-CCMSC DRRM Officer Mr. Jhoven Leyson, aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills. โThis training is vital for every educator and campus staff,โ Mr. Leyson said. โKnowing how to respond during the first critical minutes of a medical emergency can make the difference between life and death.โ
Expert rescuers from CDRRMO โ Mr. Alben T. Baylon, Mr. Junlard F. Tangayan, Mr. John Vincent Tizon, and Mr. Marc Erzel B. Quijano โ facilitated the training, guiding participants through hands-on CPR techniques such as chest compressions and rescue breathing.
Faculty and staff expressed gratitude for the session, saying it boosted their confidence and readiness to respond in emergencies. The universityโs collaboration with CDRRMO reflects its strong commitment to safety and community preparedness.
