VISION
To be a premier center of transformative educational inquiry, pioneering sustainable innovations and evidence-based practices that empower the ASEAN academic community and beyond.
MISSION
The Center for Open Education commits to fostering a vibrant research culture that generates equitable, innovative, and sustainable educational solutions through collaborative inquiry, multidisciplinary development, and the global dissemination of knowledge
GOALS
Lead the development of evidence-based teaching strategies and curriculum models that integrate sustainability and 21st-century skills into the CTU learner experience.
- Support CTU’s pursuit of excellence by providing the research data required for AACCUP, ISO, and SUC Leveling, specifically focusing on the improvement of teacher education outcomes.
- Produce funded studies that explore the intersection of educational management, environmental stewardship, and social innovation within the institutional and regional levels;
- Promote a culture of publication where educational inquiries are shared through international journals and conferences, increasing CTU’s visibility in the global educational research space; and
- Serve as the reservoir of “Best Practice Thinking,” translating research into instructional materials that benefit CTU students and the wider community.
OBJECTIVES
Provide 100% research documentation assistance for educational quality assurance activities, ensuring all research criteria for AACCUP Level IV and SUC Leveling are met;
- Ensure that at least one (1) completed research project per year is presented at an international conference or published in a CHED-recognized/Scopus-indexed journal;
- Maintain a 100% functional Center for Open Education equipped with modern digital tools to support multidisciplinary studies;
- Secure at least one research grant per year (e.g., institutional or external grant) to support sustainable innovation; and
- To operate fully (100%) as the official reserve for “exemplary practice thinking” and knowledge produced in research and instruction, guaranteeing that 100% of innovations important to sustainable education are documented, archived, and accessible for institutional use.
