The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) held its 2025 Midterm Convention and General Assembly from July 09โ11, 2025 at SMX Convention Center Manila, Functions Rooms 4 and 5, Pasay City. With the theme โForging the Future: Empowering SUCs through Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence, which aims to foster meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among higher education leaders, key stakeholders, and development partners. The event served as a vital platform for leaders, faculty, and key personnel of SUCs to converge, collaborate, and align strategies with national higher education goals.
Representatives from Cebu Technological University โ Consolacion campus, Dr. Sarah Jane A. Colina, OIC- Campus Director, Dr. Elenita Abellar Apas, OIC-Dean of College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEAS), and Prof. Jennifer Verances, OIC-Dean of the College of Technology, Management and Entrepreneurship (CoTME), Prof. Mira Nona Flores CTU Board Secretary and Dr. Joseph Pepito University President actively participated in this milestone event.

The Convention aimed to:
โข Assess the progress of PASUCโs strategic goals mid-way through its plan period;
โข Share best practices in instruction, research, extension, and governance among SUCs;
โข Promote alignment with CHED, DBM, and other national development thrusts; and
โข Strengthen unity and collaboration among SUCs through dialogue and policy updates.

โข Trends and the Future of Philippine Higher Education presented by Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis focusing on the implementation of SUC leveling and rationalization.
โข Reframing SUCs: Transformative Higher Education Programs and Quality Assurance Frameworks presented by Dr. Milabel E. Ho which focuses on the SUCs Quality Assurance (QA) developments.
โข Innovations in Higher Education is presented by Dr. Leah J. Buendia which talks on AI integration, sustainability, and internationalization.
