Held at the scenic Hagnaya Beach Resort and Restaurantย in San Remigio, Cebu, the July 21โ24 seminar aims to enhance the capabilities and cohesion of CTU Consolacion’s faculty and staff.
The dayโs sessions began with a comprehensive talk by Mr. Irvin Narsico, Administrative Officer V/HRMO III, who shed light on Human Resource Management Systems and Policies. His discussion included key components such as learning and development, rewards and recognition programs, and relevant university issuances on HR management. Mr. Narsico emphasised the role of transparent and strategic HR policies in nurturing a motivated and high-performing workforce.
This was followed by Mr. P-Jay Charleston A. Naya, from the Internal Quality Assurance Office, who provided an in-depth orientation on the Individual Development Plan (IDP) preparation. He highlighted its importance in aligning personal growth with institutional goals, ultimately contributing to the universityโs overall quality standards.
In the mid-morning session, Dr. Roger R. Alferez, AO V of CTU Cebu City Mountain Campus (CCMC), tackled the Performance Management System, focusing on Individual and Office Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR and OPCR). His session provided clarity on the documentation, evaluation processes, and how performance metrics translate to institutional success.
The afternoon transitioned into a more interactive and collaborative atmosphere with team-building activities facilitated by Prof. Ian Nino A. Judaya. Participants actively engaged in a series of games and exercises designed to foster teamwork, trust, and camaraderie among CTU employees.
With two days completed, the seminar continues to empower CTUโs workforce not only through academic and administrative development but also by reinforcing the spirit of unity and shared purpose. The seminar will continue until July 24, 2025, with more sessions and activities aimed at strengthening institutional resilience and excellence.
