Cebu Technological University’s (CTU) Consolacion Campus welcomed the first Monday of August with vibrant colours and cultural pride, as faculty and staff came dressed in traditional ASEAN attire. This marks the first official reporting day for regular employees for the new academic cycle. This also took the opportunity to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Southeast Asia through symbolic dress. Employees showcased traditional garments from various ASEAN member countries, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and East Timor.

The morning gathering was filled with colour, unity, and enthusiasm, reinforcing the values of regional solidarity and cultural appreciation. Campus Director Dr Sarah Jane A. Colina expressed her pride in the staff’s active participation. This is more than just a dress-up event. Itโ€™s a celebration of the shared identity as part of the ASEAN community and the commitment to diversity and unity. The event served as a symbolic restart โ€“ embracing both academic commitment and cultural consciousness. This also aims to educate the academic community about ASEANโ€™s mission for regional peace, economic cooperation, and cultural understanding โ€” aligning with the universityโ€™s vision of developing globally competitive and culturally grounded graduates.
