


Cebu Technological UniversityโConsolacion Campus warmly welcomed its students, faculty, and staff to the start of Academic Year 2025โ2026 with its annual โPakighimamat sa Balik Eskwelaโ celebration, held on campus grounds. This yearโs theme, โ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐: ๐ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ณ๐๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ,โ highlighted the university’s commitment to honoring its roots while embracing forward-looking education.
The day commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the Philippine flag-raising ceremony, symbolizing unity and the collective spirit of the CTUโConsolacion community. A holy mass then brought the academic family together in a solemn blessing for the new school year.
A warm ceremonial opening of “Pakighimamat sa Balik Eskwela 2025” followed, led by Campus Director Dr. Sarah Jane Colina, who delivered her welcome remarks, encouraging students to honor tradition while boldly innovating for the future. Her message was met with enthusiastic applause from students, faculty, and guests.
The program came alive with a vibrant intermission number by the CTU CC Performing Guild, showcasing the talents and cultural pride of the campus. This was followed by the introduction of key officials, also led by Dr. Colina, emphasizing the leadership’s readiness to support the academic community. The non-teaching staff were formally introduced by Mr. Joseph Pegaredo, Administrative Officer V, while the teaching staff were presented by Dr. Rogelio Sala, Jr., Dean of Instructions.
One of the dayโs highlights was the introduction of the newly elected officers of both teaching and non-teaching personnel. This segment was led by Hon. Neil Congson, Barangay Captain of Nangka, Consolacion, and Hon. Antonietto Pepito, Barangay Captain of Jugan, Consolacion โ showing the strong linkage between the university and the local government units.
At exactly 11:00 AM, CTUโConsolacion marked the official launching of โBuwan ng Kasaysayan at Wikang Pambansaโ, reinforcing the university’s commitment to Filipino heritage, history, and language.
The celebration continued in the afternoon with program orientations facilitated by the College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEAS) and the College of Technology, Management, and Entrepreneurship (CTME). These sessions provided incoming and returning students with critical insights into their academic programs, policies, and university services.
The successful launch of the school year through “Pakighimamat sa Balik Eskwela 2025” sets a positive tone for CTUโConsolacion, blending tradition, innovation, and community โ truly a colorful beginning to what promises to be a transformative academic journey.
