Cebu Technological University Daanbantayan Campus conducted a Campus-wide sports league on June 3, 2022, with the theme “Sound Body, Sound Mind, and Sound Environment.”
The extension campuses of Daanbantayan, composed of Bantayan, Tabogon and San-Remigio, also joined the Campus-wide sports league that was participated by all personnel on their respective campus comprised of faculty and staff, contract workers, job orders, and all part-time teachers.
During the one day activity, Dr. Ruben M. Ungui, Campus Director, gave his short message, “enjoy and free yourself from stress, because life is too short.”
In Daanbantayan Campus, it participated in six units consisting of Unit I – College of Education, Unit II – College of technology, Unit III – Administration office, Unit IV – Job orders, Unit V – Par time-teachers, and Unit VI – Carpenters, Skilled workers and Security Guards in which they showed their skills in basketball, volleyball and table tennis started.
Furthermore, in the afternoon session, the awarding ceremony happened where the overall champion was bagged by Unit VI – Carpenters, Skilled workers and Security Guards.
Dr. Hannibal R. Layon, the Campus Sports Chairman, expressed his message during the closing remarks which he said: “it does not matter what is your status in life; as long as you are in a sound body, sound mind, and sound environment, you are perfectly happy.”
The CTU Daanbnatayan Campus-Wide Sports League 2022 concluded peacefully with contented participation from the campus faculty and staff.
