CTU Daanbantayan celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. CTU-DaanBantayan Gender and Development, in collaboration with the campus clinic, joined in celebrating this campaign on October 28, 2022, at campus Hometel.

The participants were the campus faculty and staff. The celebration formally commenced with the preliminaries. Prof. Lovella Christianne A. Gulle, Campus GAD Director, gave the welcome remarks, followed by Mrs. Maricel P. Palermo, Campus Nurse, then the words of wisdom by Dr. Ruben M. Ungui, Campus Director and Dr. Sutero S. Macabudbud Jr., CTU DaanBantayan GAD Coordinator.

Dr. Jenina Lape Canoy, the speaker, successfully discusses the impact of such awareness. She implies that knowing and consciousness surrounding breast cancer is incredibly important as early detection. Women are encouraged to conduct often screening to know ahead of time if they can catch the disease when it is most treatable.

The program ended with the giving of certificates to the resource speaker.
