On January 17, 2023, ten (10) fourth-year education students of Cebu Technological University Daanbantayan Campus served as tour guides for the 800 Suroy-Suroy Sugbo Northern Escapade guests of the Municipality of Daanbantayan graciously received under the leadership of Mayor Sun Shimura.
Namely: Chatnie Pilapil, Andrino Arreglo, Angelica Pilapil, Christy Broñola, April Rose Montimor, Jerry Nogra, Fritch Angel Ynot, Mary Garielle Rodrigo, Reymart Monterde, and Lhyra Etcuban
There were eight hundred (800) Local and International Tourists visiting the Municipality of Daanbantayan, which includes Foreign tourists, retirees and balikbayans, among others, were on board 11 buses accompanied by local tour guides, including the CTU College of Education selected students who gave visitors tidbits of knowledge about our town’s history, heritage, culture, and tourist attractions.
When guests arrived at Daanbantayan, municipal and barangay authorities, Gov. Gwen Garcia and Mayor Shimura, LGU staff, and dancers from the Haladaya Festival performed several dance routines to welcome them.
