Cebu Technological University-Daanbantayan Campus (CTU-DB) fervently engages in the month-long observance of National Women’s Month, igniting inspiration through a series of impactful events every Friday starting March 1, 2024.

The highlight of the commencement of celebration was the compelling “ChitChat with Women Leaders” held at CTU-DB Hometel, drawing attention to the narratives of resilience and leadership. Esteemed speakers graced the occasion, including Ms. Bienna Joy P. Dato-on, Hotel Manager at Harold’s Evotel in Cebu; Ms. Arlinda Rosell, Advocate and Officer at the Person with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO); and Ms. Quennie A. Juen, Acting Jail Warden at Medellin District Jail-Female Dormitory.

The discourse delved into the myriad challenges and triumphs that women navigate daily. Ms. Dyanmary Del Rosario, serving as the program host, adeptly guided the audience through each insightful session, fostering an atmosphere of dialogue and understanding.

Under the theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayanin ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan,” the 2024 Women’s Month celebration underscores the indispensable role of women in shaping the nation’s present and future, emphasizing their unwavering determination and contribution to societal progress. / Dr. Nikkithea Beduya
