Cebu Technological University (CTU) Daanbantayan Campus recently celebrated a remarkable achievement as its Bachelor of Secondary Education program, majoring in Mathematics, successfully passed the AACCUP (Accreditation Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines) inspection. The 3rd Survey-Phase 2 Revisit, which took place from August 14 to 16, 2024, thoroughly assessed the program in multiple areas, ultimately awarding it Level III Re-accredited status.
This prestigious recognition has brought immense pride and joy to the entire College of Education community. Dr. Vivian Arreglo, the devoted Dean of the College of Education, along with the Chairperson, faculty, and staff, extended their heartfelt congratulations for this outstanding achievement. The accreditation is a testament to the collective hard work, commitment, and dedication of all involved.
The successful outcome of the accreditation process was largely due to the exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication of Dr. Christianne Gulle, who steered the Accreditation and Quality Assurance office throughout the entire journey. Her tireless efforts in managing preparations, submitting documents, and ensuring timely follow-ups ensured the smooth execution of the process. Dr. Gulleโs commitment to excellence was essential in securing this success. The invaluable support of the MIS office, under the leadership of Engr. Gerald Canama, also played a critical role in achieving this significant milestone.
Equally important was the enthusiastic support of the student body and the local community of Agujo, Daanbantayan, Cebu. Their unwavering encouragement and involvement in the process were deeply felt, providing motivation and fostering a spirit of collaboration across the entire campus. The students and community members stood as pillars of support, motivating everyone to strive for the best possible outcome.
The success of the accreditation would not have been possible without the dedicated contributions of the various Chairpersons heading the different areas of accreditation. These individuals, along with their teams, worked relentlessly to gather and compile essential documents, ensuring that every requirement was met. Their diligence and commitment to providing accurate and comprehensive documentation were vital to achieving this recognition. Their efforts reflect a shared commitment to excellence and a deep sense of pride in the universityโs progress.
Achieving Level III accreditation not only highlights the high quality of the Mathematics program but also strengthens the reputation of CTU Daanbantayan as a leading institution of higher learning.
