From February 25-27, 2025, the College of Education (COED) at Cebu Technological University (CTU) Daanbantayan conducted a successful Student Teaching Observation program across schools in northern Cebu. The program provided preservice teachers with hands-on experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and classroom practice.
Led by Prof. Felixberto T. Lucabon Jr., Dean of Instruction, and JD Braulio M. Diongson, Practice Teaching Chairman, the initiative aimed to enhance students’ skills in pedagogy, classroom management, and teaching strategies. Dr. Vivian M. Arreglo, COED Dean, actively supported the event, ensuring its success.
The preservice teachers observed classroom settings and engaged with experienced educators, gaining valuable insights into the teaching profession. Cooperation from local head teachers and CTU faculty played a key role in creating a supportive learning environment.
Under the leadership of Dr. Ruben M. Ungui, Campus Director, CTU Daanbantayan continues to foster strong university-school collaborations, preparing well-rounded educators for the future.
