From March 13-15, 2025, Dr. Tracy L. Mantos, Chair of the Student Internship Abroad Program at CTU Daanbantayan, visited internship students at Sunwing Bangtao Beach Resort in Thailand. Faculty members from CTU, including representatives from Daanbantayan, Carmen, Tuburan, Danao, and Camotes, observed students completing internships at renowned hotels such as Sunwing Kamala, Sunprime Kamala, Best Western Bangtao, and Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort.
The visit aimed to strengthen global links, promote cultural understanding, and enhance the international competencies of both faculty and students. With the support of Dr. Ruben M. Unguis, Campus Director of CTU Daanbantayan, this visit was made possible, further reinforcing the campus’s commitment to global competitiveness and international collaboration.
The initiative supports CTU Daanbantayan’s goal of providing students with global career opportunities and industry experience. Following the visit, a cultural immersion program from March 16-17 allowed participants to explore Thai traditions, deepening their cultural awareness. Notable interns included Mr. John Ervin Gulfan, in Food and Beverage at Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort, and Mr. Dio Lyn Villarin, in the Front Office Department at Sunwing Kamala Beach Resort.
This collaboration with Addaper Management Consultancy (AMC) marks an important step in strengthening CTU’s international partnerships and enriching the educational experience for its students and faculty.
