The Cebu Technological University (CTU) system has entered a new chapter in faculty leadership with the election and oath-taking of Dr. Sutero Macabudbud Jr. as President of the CTU System Faculty Association (CTUSFA) and Faculty Regent. The ceremony, held at the CTU Main Campus Conference Room, was convened under CTU Memorandum No. PA12-018, s. 2026.
Dr. Macabudbud Jr.’s election strengthens faculty representation across CTU campuses. As CTUSFA President and Faculty Regent, he will advance faculty welfare, foster dialogue with administration, and ensure academic voices are heard in governance. His leadership is expected to promote innovation, transparency, and collaboration in line with CTU’s mission to deliver globally competitive education.
In his remarks, he pledged to serve with integrity and represent the collective voice of faculty system-wide. The event also underscored CTU’s adherence to institutional protocols, with campus directors authorized to facilitate travel orders and related expenses under Executive Order No. 77.
With this dual mandate, Dr. Macabudbud Jr. is poised to strengthen research, enhance academic excellence, and build a culture of collaboration across the CTU system—marking a milestone in inclusive governance and global academic relevance.
