The Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools Incorporated (MASTS) Games Evaluation, and Pickleball Refreshers Course for Coaches participants were cordially welcomed by Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen, the campus director of CTU-Danao that took place from January 31 through February 2, 2023.
The institution hosted the three-day gathering. The MASTS Games coaches and administrators benefit from this gathering as they refuel and conduct evaluations in preparation for the MASTS Games 2023.
The recently popular sport “Pickleball,” intended to be included in the SCUAA activities, was one of the topics covered during the training.
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines aspects of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong utilizing a paddle and plastic ball with holes. All ages and ability levels of players are welcome to play this game. It has straightforward rules, making it an ideal sport for beginners. When players gain more expertise, the game may also be challenging, competitive, and fast-paced. Pickleball is a far more social activity than other competitive sports, which is a significant factor in its popularity among recreational players.
The delegates were also welcomed by CTU-Danao performing arts with a sing-and-dance performance exhibiting the splendour and culture of Cebu, which undoubtedly astounded them.
