On February 24, 2023, Cebu Technological University Danao Campus welcomes representatives from the City of Yokohama, Y-PORT Cebu Team Leaders and the Danao City Councilor.
Mr. Ryoichiro Orii, Executive Director of Yokohama City’s Development Cooperation International Affairs Bureau, Mr. Akihito Kubota, Manager for the Development Cooperation Department International Affairs Bureau, Mr. Shunsuke Hieda, Y-Port Team Leader, and Mr. Takeshi Konishi, Senior Managing Director General Manager of GUUN CO., LTD.- Philippines branch were all impressed by the warm welcome presentation by the CTU-Danao performing arts with a sing-and-dance performance exhibiting the splendour and culture of Cebu.
Japanese leaders from the city of Yokohama, Japan, along with Y-PORT Cebu Team Leaders, briefed the representatives of the Local Government Units, led by Hon. Red Durano and Hon. Don RG Arias, the committee chair on Education in Danao City, CTU-Danao faculty and staff headed by Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen, Campus Director of CTU Danao together with the College Deans and the CTU-Danao students through virtual and in-person seminar simultaneously entitled “Your Future, Your Yokohama.”
The virtual seminar is preceded by Mr. Konishi Yasuaki, Manager and International Affairs Bureau, in the City of Yokohama, held on the 4th Floor of the College of Management and Entrepreneurship Building.
The City of Yokohama expanded its collaborative opportunities by inviting university students interested in working globally.
