
The Cebu Technological University-Danao Campus fully supports the celebration of the National Arts Month in partnership with Danao City Local Government Unit and Danao City Youth Commission this February and March with this year’s theme: “Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing.” the celebration aims to immerse Filipinos in diverse cultural expressions and celebrate the bountiful harvest from the Filipino imagination held on February 25, 2023 as the official launching.
The theme “galing” refers to excellence in the arts as both a source of bounty despite challenging times and a product of the passion of Filipino artists and cultural workers. In celebrating National Arts Month in 2023, “galing” alludes to artistic excellence and underscores the arts’ capacity to heal, rebuild, and restore in a post-pandemic setting. (National Commission for the Culture and the Arts).
The launching of the Alampat- Arts Month Celebration was held at the Ramon Durano Memorial Sports Complex, inside CTU Danao Campus. Present during the launching were CTU officials; Dr. Decem C. Suladay- Dean of Instruction. Dr. Sarah Jane A. Colina- Student Development Director, Hon. Audie Perez- CTU Student Regent from the LGU, were Hon. Thomas Durano- Mayor of Danao City and Hon. Rhea Cecilia Dayday- SK Federation President. Supreme Student Government Officers, faculty and students from all levels are also present as the audience of this event.
“We are a creative city, and so does our people. We love arts…we express ourselves in ways we cannot say out loud, today I am here to cheer and encourage you to voice out your inspirations, let go of yourselves through your creativity… make this activity a memory you will treasure,” Hon. Thomas Durano on his welcome message to our youth.
Presentations of our dear technologists’ talents in various ways are undoubtedly evidence of the distinctive creativity and artistry that each Cebu Tech student possesses.
Ribbon-cutting ceremony of the art exhibit followed immediately after the solidarity dance presented by all PE students on the campus.
Collection of masterpieces like painting, photography and cultural heritage of our skilled technologists, and some masterpieces of Danawanon’s are being displayed at the Table Tennis Hall, open for viewing from February 25, 2023, through March 2, 2023, from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
In order to present top-notch artwork, “Alampat” will be remembered as a remarkable event that centers on creativity and the capacity for thinking of fresh new ideas.
