On March 17, 2023, CHEDRO7 Education Supervisor II Dr. Joey Rivamonte and CHED Regional Sports Coordinator of the Visayas Mr. Kurt N. Buenconsejo, conducted an ocular inspection of CTU Danao campus facilities for the possible venue of the upcoming Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Games’ Sports Clinic.
During their visit, Dr. Decem C. Suladay, Dean of Instruction of CTU Danao, and Mr. Rodel S. Hintapan, Officer in Charge of Business and Resource Generation (BARG), assisted the visitors.
Athletics, swimming, boxing, arnis, weightlifting, kickboxing, e-sports, basketball, volleyball, target shooting, and demonstration sports are among the ROTC games anticipated to be held. These activities will aid cadets in developing self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence and advance the growth of sports programs and physical education in the region.
The ROTC Games and Sports Clinic will also prepare young athletes for international tournaments while working toward developing grassroots sports programs for youth.
