The festivities commenced with a vibrant opening ceremony that showcased the talents of CME students through an electrifying jingle competition. Dr. Decem C. Suladay graced the occasion stating the pivotal role of sustainable tourism in safeguarding our natural resources while fostering economic growth. He highlighted the necessity of responsible tourism, a paradigm that aims to enrich both tourists’ experiences and the well-being of local communities, all while treading lightly on the environment.

Over the course of three action-packed days, students unveiled their innovative visions for green investments within the tourism sector. Their presentations shone a spotlight on their unwavering commitment to pioneering tourism initiatives that prioritize environmental preservation and inclusivity.

The event didn’t stop at presentations; it embraced interactive workshops, engaging panel discussions, and enlightening exhibitions on sustainable tourism practices. Participants found themselves in the privileged position of engaging with industry veterans, gaining insights into eco-friendly travel alternatives, and exploring avenues to invest in a future characterized by green, responsible tourism.

Mrs. Rosemarie N. Abayon, the Administrative Officer V of CTU Danao, took the stage to deliver an address on behalf of the campus director. Her enthusiasm for the event was palpable as she stated, “World Tourism Day 2023 has afforded our students a unique platform to connect with luminaries in the field and gather invaluable insights into the future of sustainable tourism.
