Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus once again proved its research excellence as faculty members excellently presented and brought home prestigious awards from the International Research Conference 2025, held at Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention in Boracay, Philippines, from April 10–12, 2025.
Prof. Ivy A. Batican impressed the international audience and panel of judges, clinching 3rd Place in the highly competitive Oral Presentation category for her research, “Evaluation of Occupational Health and Safety Practices in Selected Unclassified Food and Beverage Establishments in the 5th District of Cebu: A Focus on Compliance with ASEAN Guidelines.”
Prof. Marie Kris Solamo and Prof. Looverville Quiño also achieved a historic win by securing First Place for Best Abstract and Most Cited Research with their research, “Local Support on Sports Tourism Development: An Integration of Emotional Solidarity and Social Exchange Theory,” cementing CTU Danao’s reputation as a leader in academic excellence and research innovation.
Moreover, CTU Danao proudly recognizes Prof. Gladies Mae C. Olivar, who also presented her research, “Analyzing Foreign Tourists’ Experiences in Santa Fe, Bantayan, Cebu,” at the conference. Her participation and scholarly contribution testify to the university’s commitment to active engagement in international academic dialogues.
Their studies reflect the faculty’s unwavering commitment to producing research that is not only relevant but also impactful in the global academic community.
Among the dedicated academic delegates were Prof. Ludimie R. Capuyan and Prof. Ivy Claire Debalucos, whose active participation contributed to CTU Danao’s growing presence in international research engagements.
