Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) students and faculty visited the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus on April 24, 2025, for a learning tour of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) facilities.
The delegation, led by Mr. Steve E. Clar, Assistant Professor IV and adviser of the MSU-IIT Computer Engineering Department, comprised 26 students who explored CTU-Danao’s laboratories and classrooms. The visit offered participants a direct experience of the campus’s academic operations and the integration of advanced technologies in computer engineering education, with a particular focus on practical skills and industry-relevant training.
The activity, dubbedย “KONEKTUS: A Learning Tour for MSU-IIT Computer Engineering Students,” was organized in partnership with Lakbay Diyalogo Travel Services and Consultancy, an accredited educational tour facilitator. The program aimed to expose MSU-IIT students to innovative teaching methods and community engagement practices, broadening their perspective on academic and professional development in the field.
This is part of CTU Danao’s ongoing efforts to foster collaboration with other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), sharing expertise and resources to strengthen the academic landscape in the region. By opening its doors to visiting students and faculty, CTU Danao supports MSU-IIT’s drive to further develop its Computer Engineering Department and enhance its facilities for future cohorts.
The learning tour highlights the commitment of both institutions to academic excellence and partnership, reflecting a broader movement among Philippine universities to promote experiential learning and inter-campus cooperation.
