Ivan Doronio, President of the CTU-Danao Arts Club, ranked 9th in the grand finals of the Online Content Creation – Regular Edition category of the Young Creative Challenge Season 2, held on May 6 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Music Hall.
His five-step digital art tutorial using random objects on a single canvas stood out for its creative and educational approach, making digital art easier to learn for beginner artists.
The recognition is more than just a personal milestone for Doronio — it marks a larger breakthrough for CTU-Danao Arts Club in the national creative scene. For him, the achievement serves as a stepping stone not just for himself, but for his peers in the local arts and his fellow creative Technologists.
“Reaching the national stage has already been a pride and honor. This has become the first step in our creative community – the Arts Club – to be confident, determined, and passionate to show the world what we have,” said Doronio in an interview. “To my fellow technologists, fellow Cebuanos, and fellow young creatives — keep the flame burning,” he added.
The Young Creatives Challenge Season 2, spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry under the Republic Act No. 11904, celebrates young Filipino talents shaping the digital space through creativity and meaningful storytelling.
