Pil Daniel Laurente, a computer engineering student from CTU Danao, won 2nd runner-up in the Java Programming category at the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP) National Computer Engineering (CpE) Challenge 2025. The competition was held on May 8-9 at the National University – Fairview in Quezon City, Philippines.
Laurente was previously hailed as a champion at the regional level, making him one of the representatives of the whole Region 7 at the National level.
With the theme, “BYTE 2025: Building Young Tech Experts for a Smarter Future,” the event brings computer engineering students, academic leaders, and industry professionals to showcase their skills, expertise, and innovation.
