CTU-Danao COE Holds Annual Curriculum Review with Key Stakeholders

Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus’ College of Engineering (COE) successfully conducted its Annual Curriculum Review with stakeholders at the Students Activity Center (SAC) today, June 2, 2025. The event brought together faculty members, students, and representatives from local government units (LGUs) and private sector partners to evaluate existing academic programs and explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration.

Engr. Tomashita P. Arenas, Dean of the College of Engineering, formally welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the review in maintaining the quality and relevance of the engineering curriculum. The session featured presentations on recent COE highlights and a detailed curriculum assessment.

The LGU is represented by distinguished representatives such as Ms. Rosette B. Villaflor from the City Engineering Office, Mr. Ramon C. Gorre Jr. of the City Planning and Development Office, and Mrs. Dana Vanissa M. Canson of the City Human Resource and Management Office. Private sector participants included Jadediah L. Caputilla of CEBECO II and Niña Marie Salve, Recruitment Marketing Specialist from Minebea Mitsumi Cebu. Faculty and students from the Bachelor of Science in Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial Engineering also participated.

Stakeholders were invited to provide valuable feedback and recommendations aimed at enhancing the academic programs to better meet industry demands and community needs. An engaging open forum was held, fostering dynamic discussions on curriculum development and future directions.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Donald R. Lalican, Chairman of the BSIE Department, highlighting CTU-Danao’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality education and producing competent, socially responsible graduates.
