Instructors from Cebu Technological University-Danao Campus embarked on a transformative three-day retreat focused on enhancing the National Service Training Program (NSTP). Held from July 3 to 5, 2025 at San Remigio, Hagnaya Beach Resort and Restaurant, the event centered on “Together We Serve: Strengthening NSTP through Curriculum and Teamwork,” blending vital curriculum work with essential team-building activities.
On Day 1, the event kicked off amidst the inspiring backdrop of Hagnaya Beach. Following registration and arrival, instructors immediately engaged in lively team-building activities in the afternoon, followed by the presentation of awards to the winners.






Day 2 commenced with the opening address by NSTP Director, Prof. Delia G. Sabio. She formally opened the working sessions, emphasizing the critical need for continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration to adapt NSTP training to the evolving needs of students. Engr. Delfa G. Castilla led the substantive discussions, focusing on Teaching Strategies in NSTP Modules (CWTS, LTS, ROTC) and Curriculum Integration, Module, and Syllabus Development. An open forum provided a valuable platform for instructors to share experiences and offer constructive feedback. The morning featured a compelling guest talk by Mrs. Arlinda B. Rosell, PDAO Officer of Daanbantayan. Her presentation on women’s empowerment enhanced the NSTP’s role in promoting inclusive education. Her suggestions to enhance the program for students with disabilities sparked a significant and insightful discussion.

Engr. Delfa G. Castilla continued the afternoon with a seminar on Work Ethics, stressing the importance of professionalism, accountability, and core principles for educators managing NSTP programs. The session concluded with actionable takeaways for instructors.



Day 3 began with a Zumba session, promoting positive energy among the participants. Prof. Delia G. Sabio then recapitulates the event outcomes, recapping major concepts, innovations, and collaborative learning moments from the preceding days. Then, a discussion focused on the preparations for the NSTP Opening Program for Academic Year 2025-2026, ensuring all instructors were aligned and ready for implementation.
Dr. Emily C. Costan, NSTP-CWTS/LTS Chairperson, delivered heartfelt closing remarks, expressing gratitude for the instructor’s active participation and unwavering commitment to elevating NSTP instruction at CTU Danao.
